AMA was commissioned in April, 2012 to create a public relations committee to promote the dedication of the block of West 121st Street in Morningside Heights where the famed comic, George Carlin, was raised. We named and initiated a campaign for George Carlin Way.

Teaming with organizer Kevin Bartini and publicist Joe Trentacosta, we formulated and spearheaded the public relations campaign for social media & print and met for several face-to-face negotiations with NYC Community Board #9 to request a placement on agenda for referendum vote, as well as the Diocese of New York City and Father Raymond Rafferty of Corpus Church to appeal to their challenges of our campaign.

Success followed overwhelming media publicity, which was considerably enhanced by the verbal opposition by both the Church and Diocese and a two-block stretch of West 121st Street was dedicated as George Carlin Way on October 22, 2013.
